Harley Davidson FLSTSC/I Heritage Springer Classic
The second new entry into the Softail clan was the FLSTC Springer Classic. At the leading edge of the design were a Springer front fork in the steering head and a wide set of beach bars. Drop your seat onto the super low 25.9-inch saddle and place your boots on the spacious floorboards for a classic and comfortable ride. The matching saddlebags are joined by a vintage style front fender decorated with chrome tear drops. The buyer could also choose from a variety of solid or two-tone color combinations. For years, the Springer® front end has brought many a smile to the faces of traditionalists everywhere. But don’t be mistaken, this is no ancient architecture. On the road, the leading-link suspension of the Softail® Springer® Classic provides a premium ride. Moving back, you’ll find a beach-style handlebar, wide floorboards, detachable passenger pillion, crossover exhaust and tombstone taillight. A metal strip with emblem around the tank and a classic patent badge on the oil tank hold the eyes captive. But roll the throttle to the Twin Cam 88B™ engine and suddenly your eyes and the rest of you are set totally free. You need not be a traditionalist to smile about that.
