The Norton Superlight SS is a supercharged and full-carbon version of Norton's 650cc twin-cylinder platform.

The SS features carbonfibre wheels, swingarm, subframe, frame, and bodywork with a kerb weight of 160 kg.  The supercharged 650cc engine produces 175 bhp at 12,500 rpm and 125 Nm of peak torque.

The new Norton Superlight SS will be a limited edition model, with only 50 of these supercharged 650cc sportbikes to be built.  No dual seat will be available on the Superlight SS.

Norton’s Head of Design Simon Skinner said: "The dimensions and feel of the frame will be identical to the aluminium version. We want to create the same feel and feedback and not make it too stiff.

"We've used the same gearbox and running gear as the V4 so we always knew it could cope with the extra power of a supercharger. This bike is about showing what we can do technically. It’s a work of art."
